    Description

We are very pleased to offer a vintage
painting on papyrus of a reproduction of
a Fourth Dynasty Egyptian tomb painting which was re-discovered in 1871 and titled The Meidum Geese .
It depicts a frieze of six geese
and was found in the tomb-chapel of Atet, or Itet, the wife of Prince Nefermaat, who was the son of the 4th Dynasty pharaoh Sneferu. This meticulous, very well rendered painting is quite large, measuring 40" by 15" in the wood frame, matted under glass, of which 34" by 9" represents the actual painting. It's signed at the lower left corner, and professionally framed with a label that reads, "
    FRAMES AL-HAJRI
". The piece is in very good condition, with no damage, staining or wear. A vibrant, eye-catching and desirable addition to an Egyptian-inspired home décor!
The winning bidder pays shipping costs. Good luck, and thanks for looking!
