  • Condition: This beautiful and interesting hanging plate was created circa 1900-1940. It is intricately decorated with mother of pearl, camel bone and metal. The condition is good but it does have some of the bone trim missing and some paint loss.

    Description

    This is an amazing work of art created in the early 1900’s.
    It is hand made and decorated.
    The wood is inlaid with Mother of Pearl.
    The scene appears to be a Pharaoh accepting some refreshment from his wife.
    Also, in the scene, the sun is shining, there is a scarab to the right of the sun and at the bottom an eagle or Phoenix with spread wings.
    Intricate and lovely designs decorate the rim area.
    The materials used in this piece are:
    Wood, Mother of Pearl and Camel Bone.
    A beautiful piece of history.
    There is some paint missing on the wood and one small missing part of the ornate design on the bottom rim.
    All in all, good shape for its age.
